Mister & Miss Hampton 2025

In the Spring of 2025…

I served as a media shadow for the Mister and Miss Hampton University Scholarship Pageants, playing a key role in shaping the visual identity of the 2025 season. From the very beginning, I helped develop the cohesive brand theme Essence: Black Excellence, drawing inspiration from influential editorial identities like Essence and GQ. This theme became the foundation for the season, guiding not only the visual tone but also the storytelling approach and overall experience of the pageants.

I translated this vision into tangible execution across multiple creative projects. I directed the Mister Hampton promotional video, overseeing visual storytelling, pacing, and aesthetic to ensure alignment with the brand narrative. I designed and produced the Miss Hampton magazine, creating a polished editorial-style piece that highlighted each contestant’s individuality, elegance, and excellence. Additionally, I collaborated on the combined pageant photoshoot, contributing to creative direction, and hand-building sets and props to fully bring the concept to life.

Across all projects, my focus was on building a unified brand presence that celebrated Black excellence while elevating the pageants’ impact through intentional design, storytelling, and digital content. Every creative decision was made to ensure that the season reflected both cultural depth and modern elegance, leaving a lasting impression on participants and audiences alike.
